About Model Rocketry Safety

Model rocketry is a federally recognized hobby governed by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Codes 1122 and 1127 and the FAA's 14 CFR Part 101. Our operations comply with the NFPA safety code, which includes:

• Minimum safety distances maintained between the launch pad and all observers
• Exclusive use of commercial, pre-manufactured motors with electrical ignition
• A designated Range Safety Officer supervising all launches
• All rockets equipped with recovery systems (parachute or streamer) for safe return
• Compliance with applicable FAA airspace requirements

We will be flying [Motor Class Range]. Our launches are conducted under an active FAA Certificate of Waiver or Authorization (where applicable) and all participants are members in good standing of the National Association of Rocketry, which provides liability insurance coverage for sanctioned events.
